Course Overview
The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is designed for learners who wish to become fully qualified further education teachers. This qualification provides the opportunity to achieve Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status, a recognized professional designation. The Level 5 Diploma equips learners with the skills and knowledge required to teach effectively in further education settings, with a focus on practical teaching methods, curriculum design, and assessment strategies.

The diploma covers a wide range of curriculum areas within further education. It consists of a combination of mandatory and optional units, all of which are aligned with the Guidance for Qualifications in Education and Training (November 2016).

To enroll in the Level 5 Diploma in Law, learners must meet the following criteria:
Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 3 Award/Diploma, or an equivalent qualification (e.g., GCE/GCSE).
Alternatively, 2 years or more of work experience if no formal qualification is held.
Learners must be 18 years or older at the start of the course.
The Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training consists of 12 units in total. To achieve the diploma, learners must earn 120 credits.
Mandatory Units: 4 units (all must be completed)
Optional Units: A minimum of 1 unit from Option A and additional units from Option B to meet the 120-credit requirement.

This module explores the theoretical foundations of education and training, including learning theories, instructional design, and curriculum development.
Teaching, Learning, and Assessment in Education and Training

This module covers professional standards, ethical considerations, and the role of the educator in promoting learner success.
Action Research
This module introduces the principles and methods of action research, allowing learners to investigate and improve their own teaching practice.
Develop and Prepare Resources for Learning and Development

Developing, Using, and Organising Resources in a Specialist Area
